He has been working in international dispute settlement for twenty years, and has represented States as counsel and advocate on numerous occasions before international courts and tribunals, including the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the European Court of Human Rights, the Court of Justice of the European Union, as well as before arbitral tribunals constituted under Chapter VII of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and ad hoc arbitral tribunals. He has also represented investors in investor-State disputes before ICSID tribunals and before tribunals operating under the UNCITRAL Rules. Previously, Daniel worked in the International Arbitration and Public International Law Group of a leading international law firm. He also assisted Professeur Alain Pellet. Daniel has published extensively in leading journals and edited collective books on numerous topics of public international law, European law and international dispute settlement. Our partner, Professor Alina Miron, assisted and represented Japan in the advisory proceedings before the International Court of Justice concerning Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change and presented part of the oral observations of Japan. The Court holds public hearings on the request for an advisory opinion asked by the United Nations General Assembly from 2 to 13 December 2024 in The Hague. Capucine rejoint notre équipe en tant que collaboratrice. Capucine est titulaire d’un Master II Droit international et organisations internationales de l’Université Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne. Avant d’intégrer FAR Avocats, elle a effectué des stages au sein de départements juridiques d’organisations internationales (UNRWA, OCDE), d’une juridiction pénale internationale (IRMCT) et dans des cabinets d’avocats spécialisés en droit de la fonction publique internationale et droit pénal international.
