Héloïse is one of the founding partners of FAR Avocats. She has been a member of the Paris bar since 2001.

Héloïse has an outstanding experience in international dispute settlement having acted for a number of States before all major international courts and tribunals, in particular the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, and arbitral proceedings administrated by the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Héloïse also represents international public servants before international administrative tribunals.

She holds post-graduate diploma from the Université Paris I Sorbonne.

Experience

Héloïse has worked for a number of States and governments in inter-State proceedings. Examples of Héloïse’s experience include:

Assisting a State in advisory proceedings before the International Court of Justice concerning Legal Consequences arising from the Policies and Practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem

Assisting a Latin-American State in proceedings before the International Court of Justice in a dispute over the status and the use of the waters of a river

•

Assisting an Eastern European State in a dispute concerning the detention of naval vessels and servicemen of a neighbouring State and the right to exercise jurisdiction over this incident in proceedings before an arbitral tribunal constituted in accordance with Annex VII of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea

Assisting a Eastern European State in proceedings before the International Court of Justice concerning the application of the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination

•

Assisting a Eastern European State in arbitral proceedings under Annex VII of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea concerning the rights of the coastal State in certain parts of the Black Sea

Representing an Asian State in arbitration proceedings under Annex VII of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea concerning a maritime incident
